WHY I'M RUNNING
We’re going to flip a seat from red to blue and bring real representation back to New Jersey families.
I’m running for Congress in the Skylands to protect women’s rights, ensure safer communities with common-sense gun laws, and fight for fairness and dignity for all.

MEET BETH
Dr. Beth Ellen Adubato is a professor of Criminal Justice at Saint Peter’s University, a Fulbright Scholar, and holds a Ph.D. in Public Affairs and Politics. Her research—especially her dissertation on professional football and domestic violence, later published as a book—has influenced both academia and public discourse.

She’s the author of Grammar for Grownups, Life’s a Mother, and Crime in TV, the News, and Film, and has contributed to journals, government reports, and national conferences, including a keynote for the U.S. Department of Justice on Title IX protections.
Beyond academia, Beth founded and leads the LINDA Organization, supporting women affected by domestic violence, incarceration, and homelessness. She has also championed labor rights, serving four terms as Vice President of the adjunct faculty union at Rutgers University.
Before teaching, Beth worked in journalism as a news and sports anchor, notably becoming the first woman to anchor sports in Birmingham, Alabama, and later reporting for Metro TV, Court TV, and News 12 NJ. She’s appeared on Law & Order: Criminal Intent, Cupid, and The Following, and contributed to gender-focused documentaries.
A Montclair native raised in West Orange, Beth proudly represents her Jersey roots. Her father, Richie, coached in the NBA and WNBA; her daughter, Allegra, is an actor and fitness trainer. Beth also teaches dance, sings with the SPU Chorale, and remains a devoted Mets fan.
My passion for government began as a teenager volunteering on campaigns. I’ve always believed public service is the best way to make a real difference in people’s lives. Over the years, I’ve seen how inequality, injustice, and broken systems fail too many New Jersey families.
After last November’s election, I realized something simple but powerful: our district isn’t being represented as it should be. That’s when I knew it was time to step forward—to put people above politics and bring fairness and energy back to Congress. "

BETH BELIEVES IN...
YOUR RIGHTS
Protect reproductive freedom. End sexual and domestic violence. Ensure equality for women and girls and promote dignity for all.
YOUR REPRESENTATION
Create policy that puts people, not corporations, at the center of government. Advance legislation that protects communities, families, and the environment.
YOUR EDUCATION
Guarantee access to quality education for all. Expand job training and career pathways outside of academia.
YOUR HEALTHCARE
Strengthen community policing and crisis training. Protect public health and address climate change as both a moral and economic issue.
YOUR PROTECTION
Support survivors of domestic and sexual violence with strong protections, resources, and policies that put safety and justice first.
YOUR SAFETY NET
Defend Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security. Expand social programs that reduce crime and strengthen families. Ensure everyone has a safe and decent place to live.
YOUR FINANCIAL FUTURE
Fight for tax fairness—corporations and the wealthy must pay their share. Protect retirement security and ensure economic stability for working families.
YOUR OPPORTUNITIES
Open doors to secure, good-paying jobs through job training programs, apprenticeships, and lifelong learning opportunities.
I will always support legislation that creates equality, dignity, and respect for the people of New Jersey and for people everywhere. Lawmakers have a responsibility to create policies that improve the lives of ordinary people, not their corporate donors.
I am not running for my own gain; I am running to serve. That means protecting the rights of women, families, seniors, workers, and future generations.
